As stated in the By-Laws of the organization, the purpose for which it has been organized is to encourage community support and to raise funds to foster the health, safety, comfort, and morale of the Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service. The organization is operated on a non-profit basis, with all revenues in excess of operating costs to be used solely for the benefit of the Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service. It is not the intent of the organization to assume the normal operating expenses or capital costs associated with the regular operations of MVEMS, which are recognized as the responsibility of the town government. |
